by Tom Angleberger This is a story with a lot of boy appeal.
At McQuarrie Middle School, many sixth graders, such as Tommy, have been fascinated by Origami Yoda. Like, does he really know things? Can he see the future? Does he use the Force? First of all, Dwight, who keeps Origami Yoda on his finger, is really weird. How can it be that such an odd guy can be the holder of such a wise figure? Written in what appears to be an old journal with wrinkly pages, the story is told by many viewpoints, like a case study. Many of the anecdotes take place during lunch-time in the school cafeteria.
All the little doodles and writings in the margins were very clever, as were the directions in the back on how to make your very own Origami Yoda. A fun read, and may the force be with you!
